Schloss Dagstuhl Bid Successful

Roadmap for Responsible Robotics Dagstuhl Seminar

Seth joined a group of European scholars to submit an application to the Schloss Dagstuhl for a five day seminar titled ‘Roadmap for Responsible Robotics’. This is a prestigious and competitive application process (success rate about 1/3), and our application was just approved!

Dagstuhl is part of the Leibniz Center for Infomatics. It is basically a castle in the Black Forest, and has for many years hosted influential residential research seminars in Computer Science; this will be its first major seminar in AI ethics. The 5 day residential seminar will afford the opportunity to build deep collaborations with 40-45 researchers from Europe and around the world, including the other co-organisers: Michael Fisher (Manchester), Marija Slavkovik (Bergen), Astrid Weiss (TU Wien).
