Beba completed her Ph.D in philosophy in 2022, focusing on the ethics of emerging technologies, online influence, and artificial intelligence. Her dissertation examined the ethical, political, and legal status of foreign influence campaigns. She is also co-authoring a textbook for MIT Press on the philosophy of machine agency.
In 2022, Beba was a visitor at Cambridge University’s Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence. Previously, Beba worked as a Semester Research Analyst at the Center for Security and Emerging Technology (CSET), contributed to Georgetown’s Ethics Lab on projects related to technology ethics, and participated in the Stanford US-Russia Forum, where she researched U.S.-Russia cyber cooperation. Beba has taught Ethical Challenge of Artificial Intelligence at Georgetown University and Digital Ethics at D.C. Jail.
Beba was a remote affiliate of MINT in 2022. She is now leading JP Morgan's AI Ethics team.
