Honours

Christine is an Honours student in Philosophy at ANU and holds a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Archaeology and Philosophy from La Trobe University, where she was awarded the Wirrianda Philosophy Prize in 2021. She is co-authoring a book chapter on cognitive gadget theory's compatibility with the archaeological record and cognitive archaeology. Christine is interested in the integration of archaeological methodologies into the philosophy of technology and the intersections of feminism and AI, specifically how feminist values can improve the ways machines learn and make predictions. Supervised by Fiona Jenkins and Ben Bramble, Christine is currently writing a thesis that explores the possibility of sex-positive, feminist sex robots which questions the ways in which we gender robotic bodies and whether humanoid technologies should prescribe to the sexual norms prevalent within human societies.
